Telefónica to link Europe and Latin America with IPv6 Technology

Telefonica provided direct IPv6 connectivity between Madrid and São Paulo for the “IPv6 Global Launch Event”, under the organization of the European Commission, Euro6IX and 6NET, adding those services to its commercial portfolio.
Madrid, January 15th. 2004- Telefonica introduced just today the first services based on IPv6 technology, during the “IPv6 Global Launch Event”, under the organization of the European Commission. The Congress, of a widespread projection, will gather the main figures in deploying the new Internet, which is based on IPv6.
