Korea Moves into 'Ubiquitous' Mode

While the Thai government continues to push the country towards an information-based economy and society, over in South Korea they're already looking at the next stage, plotting plans for so-called ubiquitous communications, or "u-Korea," where people can communicate and access information anywhere and anytime. Speaking at the recent SEK 2005, a major IT exhibition and seminar in Korea, the Minister of Information and Communications, Dr Daeje Chin, said the country would reach its u-Korea target as early as 2010.
