Irish Government task force to push IPv6

The Government is to establish a national ‘task force’ that will examine the opportunities presented by Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) in a bid to give Ireland a first mover advantage in deploying the new standard.

Aidan Ryan, an advisor to the Department of Communications, Marine and Natural Resources, confirmed to ComputerScope that the task force is currently recruiting members to sit on the task force, to be officially announced within the next few weeks.
