Council approves revised e-Europe action plan

Fifteen new actions to further develop the information society have been approved by EU telecoms ministers. Broadband deployment and take-up remain the key objective of the plan.

To further boost broadband applications and content, the Commission will monitor Member States' progress in take-up of the next generation internet protocol (IPv6).
