IPv6 Workshop at RIPE NCC Regional Meeting Date: 24 September 2008 - Location: Moscow, Russia The IPv6 Deployment workshop was included within the IPv6 Workshop that took place in the RIPE NCC Regional Meeting - Moscow 2008. Individuals present at the workshop included Jordi Palet (Consulintel) representing 6DEPLOY. Jordi was in charge of presenting both the IPv6 modules and the hands-on modules. Abstract: This workshop started introducing the reasons for IPv6, the main differences between IPv4 and IPv6, together with aspects such as IP mobility and what are really advantages and what are myths. Then transition technologies were explained and basic guidelines for the deployment in different scenarios were provided. Finally, tips for the IPv6 deployment in broadband networks completed the workshop. Wednesday, 24th September
